GLENS FALLS, NY, July 25, 2014 (PostStar) -The city's waste water treatment plant will receive an estimated $200,000 in new revenue under a disposal agreement with Finch Paper that will also reduce the plant's costs, Mayor John "Jack" Diamond announced.

The city will process leachate from the paper company's landfill in Northumberland, at a rate of 4 cents per gallon.

"They've committed to bring 5 million gallons to the city of Glens Falls," Diamond said Tuesday at the city Common Council meeting.
